One of the books I’m reading is On Being A Pastor by Derek Prime and Alistair Begg. It’s a great book. The authors are very open; I feel like I’m sitting in a living room listening to them share what they’ve learned about their calling.
One of the practices that both men share is the following. After [...]

Jesse, our electric guitar player, told me that Steven Curtis Chapman’s daughter died in a tragic accident. We stopped rehearsal and prayed for the family. I can’t imagine the pain the family must be going through now.
Here’s a video of dad and daughter. Let’s keep them in our prayers.

We had such a great time having Brenton and Daniel here at CCK this last weekend. These guys love the Lord, are extremely gifted musicians, have a great sense of humor. They are God’s gift to the body of Christ.
Brenton’s CD “Everlasting God” is my new favorite worship CD. The songs are great. Check out [...]

I recently read a quote by Socrates,” By all means marry. If you get a good wife you’ll be happy; if you get a bad one, you’ll be a philosopher.”
Like all of us, I’ve made my share of bad decisions. But one of my home runs, thankfully, was in choosing a wife. Janet is amazing. [...]

Bad decisions are everywhere. I think they have a lot to do with the economy.
I spoke with someone recently who just put his house up for sale. They are asking $100,000 less than what they owe on it. Yup. Foreclosure. The sad thing is that they’ve lived in this house for years and have built [...]
