Please Pray for the Laurie Family
Greg Laurie’s son, Christopher, died today in an auto accident. We received the news this afternoon. He leaves behind a young child and a pregnant wife. It happened at 9:06 am PST in the carpool lane of Highway 91 in Carona, CA.
Certainly, nothing escapes the loving eyes and hands of our gracious heavenly Father. While it doesn’t [...]

Opinion of Church
Lots of people have opinions of church. While reading in 1 Timothy this morning I ran across Paul’s opinion expressed to Timothy. Here’s what Paul thought of church:
“…the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” 1 Timothy 3:15 (emphasis mine)
I think alot of people [...]

Quote of the Day
Orphan Baby Adopted
When Janet was pregnant with Caleb, and we found out about his heart problem, one of the first things we did was call our friends Elizabeth and Daniel Monroe. Danny worked at Miami Children’s Hospital as part of the pediatric heart surgery team and he provided honest, invaluable advice to us at the beginning of [...]

Owning a device like this immediately increases your productivity because you can always be getting something done on the web, etc. No more down time.
That’s the way it should be in our walk with the Lord. Never wasting time, always praying, always [...]

Pouring Into Children
Today is the first day of VBS. Kids are sleeping now, but in just a few minutes they’ll awake and be getting ready to go to church.
I believe one of the most underrated ministries at any church is the children’s ministry. It is, in many regards, the most important ministry at a church. I thank [...]

A Great Prayer
This weekend, my good friend Pastor Scott Claunch shared a great message about what is normally called the Lord’s Prayer. The title of his teaching was “Declaration of Dependance”. He shared how we have a loving Heavenly Father that we can depend upon and pray to.
My daughter is learning to pray. She, for a long [...]

Fourth of July
My dad is a retired World War 2 US Navy veteran. I’m thankful for those who have and are protecting our country. Here’s an excerpt from Wallbuilders about How To Celebrate the Fourth of July:
According to John Quincy Adams, on the Fourth of July the Founders took the precepts of Christ which came into the [...]
